Prime Video adds ads unless you pay $2.99 more

Amazon told Prime members that from 29 January 2024 Prime Video films and shows would include limited ads. Removing them costs an extra $2.99 a month in the US. The Prime price did not change.
Why it counts
Existing paying subscribers got ads added to a service they had already paid for, with a fee to get back what they had.
