The app Sonos released on 7 May 2024 lacked features users relied on, including Play Next, Play Last and searching a local music library, and had multiple bugs. On 25 July the CEO apologised and published a recovery plan.

A working app was replaced by one that was missing things owners had already paid for speakers to do.
